Existential Threats to the Joshua Tree Habitat

  • Wildfires - We’ve lost over 2 million Joshua Trees since 2020 -
    at an increasing rate.

  • Climate Change - Projections show their habitat will be too hot
    starting as soon as 2100 - leading to their Extinction.

  • Deforestation - Developers are scraping the Mojave Desert
    for Solar Farms, Walmarts and Strip Malls - Faster than they can Reproduce

  • Failed Pollination - The Yucca Moth, Joshua Tree’s sole pollinatior,
    is stressed out from Climate Change, and is failing to appear.
